They offered to change the name to Edgy (source is directly from mobigames) and were told by Langdell that EDGY would infringe as well AND THEN Langdell went and TRADEMARKED EDGY that same day!

Ugh!

I just discovered this after restoring my iphone and choosing not to use the old back up (because of corrupt data). I was so disappointed that I could not download the game I had already paid for.

But, more to the point, this kind of trademark fascism is a travesty of intellectual property law. Makes me crazy that someone can browbeat and badger others out of reasonable use of a name trademarked in a related, but not the same, industry and application.

In this time of fast information exchange, people like Mr.Langdell are likely to find that the are harming, not protecting, their brands by these moves.

Shame on you, Tim Langdell!
